Cats are not a human beings and the concept of property means nothing to them. Why should pets be punished for the irresponsible actions of their owners? By all means, go after their owners if possible. Also, even if the feline culprits happened to be stray, it doesn't mean that they should be killed for doing something that occurs naturally to them. For goodness sake, these cats didn't attack or hurt anyone, why should they pay the ultimate price just for being themselves? Wouldn't the use of cat repellant suffice in this case? Sigh...have a heart.
